Robert De Niro is an actor and co-founder of Tribeca Productions, Tribeca Film Center, and Tribeca Film Festival. Since the launch of his motion picture career in 1969, DeNiro has won numerous honors, including the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for The Godfather, Part II in 1974, a Best Actor Oscar for Raging Bull in 1980, and five additional Oscars nominations. He has received the Kennedy Center Honor, the Stanley Kubrick Award from the BAFTA Britannia Awards, and the Cecil B. DeMille Award at the 2011 Golden Globes. DeNiro was jury president of the 64th Cannes Film Festival.
