Ricardo Rivera-Cardona is chief business development officer at Somos Community Care. Previously, he was executive director of the Puerto Rico Health Insurance Administration and before that, president of the Puerto Rican health and life insurance company COSVI. Rivera-Cardona was also secretary of the Puerto Rico Department of Economic Development and, simultaneously, executive director of the Puerto Rico Trade and Export Company. Other former positions include sales and marketing director of ICI Paints, senior brand manager for Eli Lilly, brand manager of Procter & Gamble, and management consultant of Arthur D. Little in Caracas, Venezuela. Rivera-Cardona is a Health Innovators Fellow and member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
