Reza Aslan is a creative writing professor at University of California, Riverside and a writer and scholar of religions. His books include the best-sellers Zealot: The Life and Times of Jesus of Nazareth and No god but God: The Origins, Evolution, and Future of Islam. Aslan’s previous posts include the Wallerstein Distinguished Professor of Religion, Community and Conflict at Drew University and visiting assistant professor of religion at the University of Iowa. He serves on the Chicago Theological Seminary board of trustees and is a member of the American Academy of Religions, the Society of Biblical Literature, and the International Qur’anic Studies Association.
