Peter Thiel is an entrepreneur and investor who works to identify and support the next generation of technology companies. He is a partner at Founders Fund and serves on the board of directors for Facebook. Thiel started Palantir Technologies, a data analytics company that makes tools for national security and global finance, and PayPal, which he took public and sold to eBay. He also started the Thiel Foundation and the 20 Under 20 Thiel Fellowship. He is the author of Zero to One: Notes on Startups, or How to Build the Future, which was derived from a computer science class he taught at Stanford University.
