Pat Mitchell

President and CEO, Pat Mitchell Media; Co-Curator and Host, TEDWomen

Pat Mitchell is co-curator of the TEDWomen global conference and a former media executive. She was president and CEO of the Paley Center for Media, first woman president and CEO of PBS, and president of CNN Productions, where she produced programs that received 35 Emmy and five Peabody Awards. Mitchell advises foundations and corporations on women’s empowerment issues, leadership development, and media relations. She chairs the Jordan River Foundation US board, the Women’s Media Center, and Sundance Institute; is a founding board member of V-Day; and serves on the Acumen Fund, Skoll Foundation, and Participant Media boards. Among her honors is The Women’s Media Center’s first Lifetime Achievement Award.
