Otis W. Brawley is chief medical and scientific officer and executive vice president of research for the American Cancer Society. He is a professor at Emory University and medical consultant to CNN. He was previously medical director of Georgia Cancer Center for Excellence and deputy director for cancer control at Winship Cancer Institute. Brawley has co-chaired the Surgeon General’s Task Force on Cancer Health Disparities and filled positions at National Cancer Institute. Among other honors, he is one of Castle Connelly’s Top Doctors for Cancer and received the key to St. Bernard Parish for his work after Hurricane Katrina.
