Neal Baer

Physician; Television Writer and Producer

Neal Baer is a medical doctor and storyteller. His production credits include the TV series “Under The Dome,” “A Gifted Man,” “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” “ER,” and the documentary film If You Build It. He has written for teens on health issues for Scholastic Magazine, teaches photography to mothers with HIV and AIDS orphans in Africa, and lectures globally on storytelling for social change. Baer co-established the Institute for Photographic Empowerment at USC’s Annenberg School of Communications, where he is a senior fellow and lecturer. He is a research scientist at Fielding School of Public Health at UCLA, where he established The Global Media Center for Social Impact.
