Moncef Slaoui

Chairman, Global R&D and Vaccines, GlaxoSmithKline

Moncef Slaoui is chairman of GSK Vaccines and a member of GlaxoSmithKline’s corporate executive team and board of directors. He oversees GSK’s venture capital arm, SR One, and other VC partnerships, as well as its bioelectronic R&D strategy. He was previously the company’s chairman of research and development, led the franchise commercial operation, and engineered the development of a vaccines pipeline for GSK Biologicals. Formerly an immunology professor at University of Mons, Belgium, Slaoui has authored more than 100 scientific papers and presentations. His board service includes the PhRMA Foundation, Qatar Foundation, National Institutes of Health Advisory Committee to the Director, and Biotechnology Industry Organization.
