President and CEO, Southern California Gas Company
Michael W. Allman is president and CEO of Southern California Gas Company. Before his posting there in 2010, Allman was president and CEO of Sempra Generation, a subsidiary of Sempra Energy, where he oversaw the operation of merchant power plants throughout North America. Allman has spearheaded the development of several groundbreaking renewable energy projects, including the country’s largest solar photovoltaic plant in Boulder City, Nevada. He serves on the board of directors of the American Gas Association, Los Angeles World Affairs Council and the California Chamber of Commerce. For ten years, Allman held leadership positions with Sempra Energy and its subsidiaries, including chief financial officer of Sempra Global and president of Sempra Technology Ventures. Prior to joining Sempra in 1998, Allman was responsible for marketing and delivering consulting projects to corporate clients of LEK/Alcar, a strategic and financial consulting-services firm.
