Michael Grunwald is an author and journalist. He co-hosts the “Climavores” podcast and is the food and climate columnist for Canary Media. Previously, Grunwald was a staff writer for Politico Magazine, TIME, and The Washington Post, where he wrote the lead news story about the September 11 attacks. He’s the author of two books that won the gold medal for nonfiction at the Florida Book Awards: The Swamp: The Everglades, Florida, and the Politics of Paradise, which was adapted for a PBS documentary, and The New New Deal: The Hidden Story of Change in the Obama Era, a New York Times best-seller. Grunwald is currently working on a book about how to feed the world without frying the world. Among other journalism honors, he won the George Polk Award for national reporting and the Worth Bingham Prize for investigative reporting.
