Michael Froman

United States Trade Representative, Executive Office of the President

Michael Froman is US trade representative, since June 2013. Key initiatives under his leadership include the Trans-Pacific Partnership and Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership. Froman previously served as assistant to the president and deputy national security advisor for international economic affairs. He has held a number of roles at Citigroup, was a senior fellow at the Council of Foreign Relations, and was a resident fellow at the German Marshall Fund. In the 1990s, Froman was chief of staff and deputy assistant secretary for Eurasia and the Middle East in the Treasury Department, as well as a director for international economic affairs at the National Security Council and National Economic Council.
