Melissa Ingber is Vice President and Director of the Stevens Initiative, International Partners, and the Socrates Program at the Aspen Institute. She supports Aspen’s ten international partners, manages a program for emerging leaders,  and is launching an international initiative using technology to connect students in the United States and the Middle East and North Africa. Prior to joining the Aspen Institute, Melissa worked at the World Bank specializing in private sector development and finance for Africa. She has also worked in emerging markets with Deutsche Bank, the Soros Foundation’s Open Society Institute, and A.T. Kearney and has lived in Washington, DC, New York, London, Prague, and Moscow. She has held government positions as a senior adviser at the Department of State and at the U.S. Institute of Peace.
