Mark Tercek is president and CEO of The Nature Conservancy. He is the author of The Washington Post and Publisher’s Weekly best-selling book Nature’s Fortune: How Business and Society Thrive by Investing in Nature. In 2012, Tercek was appointed to the New York State 2100 Commission, created in Superstorm Sandy’s wake to advise the governor on making the state’s infrastructure more resilient to future storms. A former managing director and partner at Goldman Sachs, he serves on the boards of Resources for the Future, Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions, and Harvard Business School’s Social Enterprise Initiative, and as a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
