Mark Greenberg is the executive director of the Task Force on Poverty for the Center for American Progress in Washington, DC. “From Poverty to Prosperity,” its recent report, calls for a national goal of cutting poverty in half in the next ten years and proposes a strategy to accomplish that goal. He is directing the task force while on leave from the Center for Law and Social Policy, where he is the director of policy. Previously he worked at Jacksonville Area Legal Aid in Florida and the Western Center on Law and Poverty in California. He is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Law School.
