Marian Rewers is a professor of pediatrics and medicine at University of Colorado Denver, where he is clinical director and interim executive director of the Barbara Davis Center for Childhood Diabetes. His work for 30 years has focused on prevention of autoimmune (type 1) diabetes. Rewers heads the Colorado center of the TEDDY (The Environmental Determinants of Diabetes in the Young) consortium and co-chairs its steering committee. He received the Michaela Modan Memorial Award and Kelly West Award from the American Diabetes Association, the University of Pittsburgh Kenny/Drash Award, and Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s Excellence in Clinical Research Award.
