Marcy Darnovsky is executive director at the Center for Genetics and Society. She speaks and writes widely on human biotechnologies, focusing on their social justice, human rights, health equity, and public-interest implications. She has written for publications including The New York Times, Nature, Los Angeles Times, Wall Street Journal, and Harvard Law and Policy Review. Darnovsky has worked as an organizer and advocate of environmental and progressive political movements and taught at Sonoma State University and California State University. She is co-editor of the anthology Beyond Bioethics: Towards a New Biopolitics, to be published by University of California Press.
