Malika Saada Saar is Google’s senior counsel on civil and human rights. She co-founded and was executive director of the Human Rights Project for Girls and was special counsel on human rights at The Raben Group. Saada Saar led the effort to shut down Craigslist sex ads that trafficked children and ended the federal practice of shackling pregnant mothers in prisons. Newsweek and the Daily Beast have named her one of 150 Women Who Shake the World, and she has been honored by Brown University and Georgetown Law Center. She serves on the Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS and the board of the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Human Rights.
