National Spokeswoman and Faith and Outreach Community Organizer, Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America

Lucia McBath is the mother of Jordan Davis, who was shot and killed at a gas station in Jacksonville, Fla., on November 23, 2012, during an argument over loud music. The shooter used Florida’s stand-your-ground law as his defense. He was not found guilty of murder in his first trial. In an October 2014 retrial, the shooter was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison. A frequent speaker and presenter on gun control, McBath is a national spokeswoman for Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, in addition to being the organization’s faith and outreach community organizer.
