L. Paul Bremer, III

President and CEO, World T.E.A.M. Sports; Former Presidential Envoy to Iraq

L. Paul Bremer, III is the president and CEO of World T.E.A.M. Sports, a nonprofit that organizes athletic events for disabled citizens. Last summer, Bremer led 16 wounded warriors on a 4,000-mile bicycle ride across America. Bremer was presidential envoy to Iraq during the George W. Bush administration. His book, My Year in Iraq: The Struggle to Build a Future of Hope, portrays the challenges faced there. Bremer was US ambassador to the Netherlands, ambassador-at-large for counterterrorism, chairman of the bipartisan National Commission on Terrorism, and served on the president’s Homeland Security Advisory Council. In the 1990s, Bremer worked at Kissinger Associates and Marsh Crisis Consulting and served on corporate nonprofit boards. He is the director of Catholic Charities.
