Documentary Filmmaker; Director, The Hunting Ground

Kirby Dick is an Emmy Award-winning documentary film director. His film The Invisible War, whichinvestigates the epidemic of rape within the US military, won two Emmy Awards for Best Documentary and Outstanding Investigative Journalism, a Peabody Award, and was nominated for an Academy Award. His 2004 film, Twist of Faith, also received an Oscar nomination. Other films include This Film Is Not Yet Rated, a breakthrough investigation of the MPAA’s secretive film ratings system, and Derrida, a portrait of world-renowned French philosopher Jacques Derrida. The Hunting Ground, an exposé about sexual assault on college campuses, premiered at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival and will air on CNN this fall.
