Katherine Ella Wood


Katherine Ella Wood is a theater and film actress. Her stage credits include Kansas City Swing by Ricardo Khan at the Crossroads Theater Company, Mouth Wide Open by Amy Brenneman at The Yard, and Golden Flax Tales with the New Juilliard Ensemble, conducted by Joel Sachs. She made her film debut in The Procrastinator. Wood played Lorraine Hansberry in Anna Deavere Smith’s documentary-theater-style production, “Talking About Race,” part of The Public Theater’s Public Forum series this past May, in which she and fellow actor David Aaron Baker reenacted excerpts of Mike Wallace’s 1959 interview with Hansberry.
