Kat M. Steele is a mechanical engineer and a designer on the CompactCath team from Stanford University. Combining technology and design-thinking principals in the medical device space at Stanford d.school, CompactCath team created a revolutionary urinary catheter solution. Steele recently completed her doctorate in mechanical engineering from Stanford, where she also earned her master’s degree in engineering. She has worked in multiple clinical environments, including the Cleveland Clinic, the Children’s Hospital of Denver, and Lucille Packard Children’s Hospital. Her goal is to continue to improve quality of life through medical innovation.
