Judy Cho is director of the Institute for Personalized Medicine, senior associate dean for precision medicine, and a professor of genetics and genomic sciences and gastroenterology at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She has defined genetic factors that underlie susceptibility to inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and is the principal investigator for the Data Coordinating Center of the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) IBD Genetics Consortium. Cho previously was a faculty member at University of Chicago and held a named professorship on genetics and pediatrics at Yale University. She has also served on the council of the American Society of Clinical Investigation.
