Attorney General, State of Pennsylvania
Josh Shapiro is attorney general for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, elected in 2016. His top priorities include protecting consumers and small businesses from scams and fraud; implementing a comprehensive integrity agenda; and fighting the heroin and opioid epidemic, including treatment for addicts. Shapiro’s career in public service includes chairing the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency. As chairman of the Montgomery County Board of Commissioners, he led a fiscal turnaround, helped the first LGBT couples in Pennsylvania marry, protected voting rights, and fired Wall Street money managers. As a state representative, he passed some of the toughest ethics laws in state history. Shapiro was previously in private practice for over a decade.
