Jonathan Alter is an award-winning journalist and author. He has been an analyst and contributing correspondent for NBC News and MSNBC since 1996 and is executive producer of the Amazon political comedy “Alpha House.” Alter spent 28 years at Newsweek as a senior editor and columnist. He has also written for The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Washington Monthly, The Atlantic, and Vanity Fair. He authored three New York Times best-sellers: The Center Holds: Obama and His Enemies, The Promise: President Obama, Year One, and The Defining Moment: FDR’s Hundred Days and the Triumph of Hope.
