John Torres

John Torres is an NBC News and MSNBC medical correspondent and an emergency room physician. His reporting covers a range of health-related issues across all of NBC’s broadcast, cable and digital platforms. He was previously with NBC’s 9News in Colorado. A US Air Force veteran, Torres completed a tour of duty in Iraq in 2004 and has contributed to rescue efforts out of the South Pole and in the wake of Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita. He has also made humanitarian trips to Central and South America, providing medical care to children in need. Utilizing his combined medical and military experience, Torres teaches NATO Special Forces.
