John Noseworthy

President and CEO, Mayo Clinic (Festival Underwriter)

John Noseworthy is president and CEO of Mayo Clinic and a professor in its Neurology Department, where he specializes in multiple sclerosis and has been conducting clinical trials for two decades. He joined Mayo Clinic in 1990 and previously served as chair of the Neurology Department, medical director of the Development Department, and vice chair of the Mayo Clinic Rochester Executive Board. New initiatives under his tenure include a proton-beam cancer-therapy program. Noseworthy has authored more than 150 research papers, chapters, and editorials; has written several books, including the three-volume textbook Neurological Therapeutics: Principles and Practice; and is a health governor of the World Economic Forum.
