John Dickerson is co-host of “CBS This Morning.” Previously, he was political director and chief Washington correspondent for CBS News and anchor of “Face the Nation.” He contributes to Slate’s “Political Gabfest,” to The Atlantic, and hosts the podcast “Whistlestop” on moments in presidential campaign history. A Washington reporter since 1995, Dickerson has covered six presidential campaigns, was Slate Magazine’s chief political correspondent, and covered the George W. Bush presidency for TIME. Recipient of the Ford Prize for Distinguished Reporting on the Presidency and the David Broder Award for political reporting, he authored On Her Trail, about his mother, the pioneering newswoman Nancy Dickerson, and the best-seller Whistlestop.
