Jo Boaler

Professor, Mathematics Education and Teacher Education, Stanford University

Jo Boaler is a mathematics education professor at Stanford University and co-founder of YouCubed. She is an analyst for Programme for International Student Assessment testing by the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development and author of the first MOOC on mathematics teaching and learning. Formerly she was the Marie Curie Professor of Mathematics Education at University of Sussex in England. Author of nine books and numerous research articles, Boaler is the recipient of a National Science Foundation Presidential Award and the 2014 NCSM Kay Gilliland Equity Award. She serves as an advisor to several Silicon Valley companies and a White House presenter on girls and STEM.
