Jim Bankoff is chairman and CEO of Vox Media, a fast-growing digital media company whose brands include SB Nation (sports), The Verge (technology/culture), Polygon (gaming), Eater (food/dining), Curbed (home/real estate), Racked (shopping), and Vox (news). A veteran of the online industry, Bankoff was previously executive vice president of programming and products at AOL, where he developed and led dozens of popular websites including AOL, Mapquest, Moviefone, AOL Music, and Engadget. He also co-founded TMZ.com, won an Emmy award for his production of the Live8 Concerts, and oversaw AOL’s messaging, social networking, and community applications, including AIM, ICQ, and Netscape.
