Jason Pontin

Jason Pontin is senior partner and chief editor at Flagship Pioneering, leading communications for the enterprise’s ecosystem of ventures. From 2004 to 2017, he was CEO, editor in chief, and publisher of MIT Technology Review, one of the world’s oldest technology publications. Also at MIT, Pontin founded and curated Solve, the institute’s open innovation platform. Previously, he was editor of Red Herring, a business magazine during the dot.com boom. He writes regularly for Wired and has written for The New York Times, The Economist, and The Financial Times. In 2013, Pontin delivered a TED talk titled “Can technology solve our big problems?” which has been viewed more than 1.5 million times.
