Jane Harman

Director, President, and CEO, Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars; Trustee, The Aspen Institute

Jane Harman is director, president, and CEO of the Woodrow Wilson Center. She served nine terms in Congress (D-CA) and is a recognized expert on security and public policy issues. Previously, she was staff director of the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Constitutional Rights, deputy cabinet secretary to President Carter, special counsel to the Defense Department, and in private law practice. Harman is a member of the Defense Policy Board, the State Department Foreign Policy Board, and the Homeland Security Advisory Council. She serves on the Trilateral Commission Executive Committee, Munich Security Conference Advisory Board, Presidential Debates Commission, and Iridium Board of Directors. She is an Aspen Institute trustee.
