James Gladstone

Co-Chief of Sports Medicine, Department of Orthopedics, The Mount Sinai Hospital

James Gladstone is an orthopaedic surgeon and co-chief of Sports Medicine at The Mount Sinai Hospital. He is also the principal investigator in a FDA Phase III clinical trial on cartilage restoration. Gladstone joined the faculty of the Leni and Peter W. May Department of Orthopaedics at Mount Sinai in 1996, and was instrumental in developing its Sports Medicine Division. Among many accomplishments, Gladstone participated in an immediate post-earthquake mission to Haiti, was medical advisor of the US Men’s Davis Cup tennis team, and serves as an orthopaedic consultant to the US Open Tennis Championships  and to NFL officials.
