School Partnerships Manager, Educate!
James Arinaitwe is school partnerships manager for Educate!, where he partners with secondary schools in Uganda to provide education around entrepreneurship and leadership development for youth in sustainable development. He is also a 2014 Aspen New Voices Fellow. Arinaitwe was a 2012-2013 Global Health Corps Fellow and continues to represent GHC as Uganda’s alumni president. He grew up in rural western Uganda, where, at a young age, he lost his parents and four siblings to infectious diseases, including HIV/AIDS. As an “AIDS orphan” (a phrase which he uses critically), he experienced the often-problematic international development system firsthand.
