Jacqueline Novogratz

Founder and CEO, Acumen; Trustee, The Aspen Institute

Jacqueline Novogratz is founder and CEO of global venture fund Acumen, which invests in companies that deliver basic services to the poor. She previously founded and directed The Philanthropy Workshop and Next Generation Leadership programs at the Rockefeller Foundation; co-founded Duterimbere, a micro-finance institution in Rwanda; and worked at Chase Manhattan Bank. Author of The Blue Sweater: Bridging the Gap Between Rich and Poor in an Interconnected World, Novogratz was named to Foreign Policy’s list of Top 100 Global Thinkers. She received the Roosevelt Institute’s 2011 Freedom from Want Award, and her board service includes the World Economic Forum Global Agenda Council on Sustainable Development.
