Chairman and Founder, EDventure Holdings; Founder, Health Initiative Coordinating Council (HICCup)
Esther Dyson is chairman, founder, and former owner of EDventure Holdings. She invests in and nurtures start-ups, with a focus on health, human capital, and aerospace. Most recently, she founded HICCup (Health Initiative Coordinating Council). Previously, Dyson was founding chairman of ICANN and a Wall Street securities analyst. She has also trained as a backup cosmonaut. Dyson is an active board member for a variety of companies and sits on several nonprofit boards, including the Long Now Foundation, Sunlight Foundation, and Personal Genome Foundation. She wrote the best-seller Release 2.0: A Design for Living in the Digital Age.
