Eric Isaacs

Director, Argonne National Laboratory; President, UChicago Argonne, LLC

Eric Isaacs is president of UChicago Argonne, LLC and director of Argonne National Laboratory. Previously, he was director of the Center for Nanoscale Materials at Argonne and a professor of physics in the University of Chicago’s James Franck Institute. Isaacs was tenured for 13 years at Bell Laboratories, where he studied magnetism and correlated electronic systems. He is a fellow of the American Physical Society and has served on a number of national scientific advisory committees, including the Basic Energy Sciences Advisory Committee.
