Ed Crooks is US industry and energy editor for the Financial Times. He has been covering energy for almost a decade, first from London and then New York, where he has been based since 2010. His coverage of the 2010 Deepwater Horizon disaster was awarded “story of the year” by the UK Foreign Press Association. He previously held the roles of economics editor and then UK news editor at the Financial Times. He also served on the UK government’s advisory Sustainable Development Commission. Before the Financial Times, he was the economics correspondent for radio and television news at the BBC. He also reported and edited at Investors Chronicle magazine.
