Don Baer

Don Baer is worldwide chair and CEO of strategic communications firm Burson-Marsteller and chair of the research firm Penn Schoen Berland. Both companies are part of advertising and public relations giant WPP. His career includes leading roles as a media and communications executive for a wide range of business, government and nonprofit organizations. He served as White House communications director and chief speechwriter for President Bill Clinton and as senior vice president for strategy and development at Discovery Communications. Earlier in his career, Baer was an associate at Belknap, Webb & Tyler, LLP, a reporter at American Lawyer Magazine and assistant managing editor at US News & World Report.
