Deborah Borda

Deborah Borda is president, CEO, and David C. Bohnett Presidential Chair of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association. Prior to 2000, she was executive director of the New York Philharmonic, general manager of the San Francisco Symphony, president of the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, and president of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. She is a former professional violist. In LA, Borda designed a business and curatorial plan that restored the organization to robust artistic and fiscal health, oversaw the opening of Walt Disney Concert Hall, and expanded artistic programming. In 2015, she became the first arts executive to become a Hauser Leader in Residence at Harvard Kennedy School’s Center for Public Leadership.
