He also chairs the energy and climate working group of the Clinton Global Initiative, and he is a senior advisor to Good Energies, Inc. Sandalow is a director of First Voice International and a member of the Council on Foreign Relationsâ€™ climate-change task force. He previously served as assistant secretary of state for oceans, environment, and science; senior director for environmental affairs for the National Security Council; associate director for the global environment for the White House Council on Environmental Quality; and executive vice president of the World Wildlife Fund-US. He is the author of Freedom from Oil: How the Next President Can End the United States' Oil Addiction (McGraw-Hill, 2007).
