David Coleman

President and CEO, College Board

David Coleman is president and CEO of the College Board, since 2012, where he spearheaded a simpler SAT; partnered with Khan Academy to provide free SAT practice to over five million students; and expanded the Advanced Placement program to serve more students from all backgrounds. Coleman was a founding partner of Student Achievement Partners, a nonprofit that helped develop the Common Core State Standards in math and literacy. He previously co-founded the Grow Network, an organization committed to making assessment results useful. Coleman was recognized as one of the POLITICO 50 for 2014, named to the 2013 TIME 100, and was a 2012 NewSchools Venture Fund Change Agent of the Year.
