Cyndi Lewis

Deputy Director, Tobacco, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation

Cyndi Lewis is a deputy director in global policy and advocacy at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, leading the global tobacco control program. From 2006 to 2010, she was lead senior program officer for the foundation’s advocacy investments in maternal health campaigns, ONE Vote ’08, and The Living Proof Project. Lewis spent ten years with the Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids and managed campaigns for environmental, transportation, and education issues. Her election work includes supervision of the first free election after the Bosnian war. She serves on advisory boards for University of Notre Dame and Seattle Theater Group.
