has spent most of his career working in the car industry, including 28 years at Car and Driver, the world's foremost and largest circulation automotive magazine. Csere served as Car and Driver's editor-in-chief from 1993 through 2008. As an automotive journalist, he was an independent observer of the auto industry with intimate access to its inner workings and top management. In addition to being a prominent car and truck critic and an expert on the industry's advanced technologies, Csere became familiar with the industry's manifold business, marketing, and environmental challenges and has shared his views on virtually every national television and radio news program. Prior to his extensive career in automotive journalism, Csere graduated from MIT and joined Ford as an engine designer.
