Courtney E. Martin is an author, entrepreneur, and weekly columnist for On Being. She is co-founder of the Solutions Journalism Network and of FRESH Speakers Bureau, a strategist for TED, and editor emeritus at Feministing.com. Martin has authored or edited six books, including Do It Anyway: The New Generation of Activists and Perfect Girls, Starving Daughters: How the Quest for Perfection is Harming Young Women. Her latest book, The New Better Off, explores how people are redefining the American dream. A writer for national publications, speaker at conferences and colleges, and TV news show guest, Martin is the recipient of the Elie Wiesel Prize in Ethics.
