Bryan Tyree Henry


Brian Tyree Henry is an actor. He played James Baldwin in Anna Deavere Smith’s documentary-theater-style production, “Talking About Race,” part of The Public Theater’s Public Forum series this past May, in which he performed excerpts from Margaret Mead’s legendary 1971 conversation with Baldwin. He performed on Broadway in The Book of Mormon, and in several Off-Broadway plays, including The Brother/Sister Plays trilogy, Romeo and Juliet, and A Civil War Christmas. His television credits include “Boardwalk Empire,” “The Knick,” “The Good Wife,” and “Law and Order.”  Henry was nominated for a Helen Hayes Award.
