Brian J. Enquist is a broadly trained ecologist and biologist, a professor at the University of Arizona, and an external professor at The Santa Fe Institute. His research studies the origin and maintenance of biological diversity in order to predict how climate and climate change will influence the functioning of the biosphere. Enquist is a 2012 fellow for the American Association for the Advancement of Science. He was awarded a Fulbright Fellowship, the Ecological Society of America’s Mercer Award, a National Science Foundation CAREER Award, and made Popular Science’s Brilliant 10 list of young scientists to watch in 2004.
