Vice President of Public Policy, Amazon

Brian Huseman joined Amazon in 2012 and currently serves as the Vice President of Public Policy. In this role, Brian leads Amazon’s Public Policy teams across North and South America, including all U.S.federal, state, and local policy. Brian joined Amazon after nearly four years at Intel Corporation. Prior to Intel, Brian served at the Federal Trade Commission for over seven years, including as Chief of Staff to the Chairman. He joined the FTC in 2001 as a staff attorney after serving as a trial attorney for the DOJ and a judicial law clerk in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma and in the U.S. Court of Appeals for theFifth Circuit. Brian is past Chair and currently serves on the Board of the Information Technology Industry Council. He is past Chair of the Internet Association and current Co-Chair of the US Chamber of Commerce Global Connect Committee and is past Co-Chair of Team Virginia. Brian serves on the Boards of Signature Theatre, Gorilla Doctors (President), the National Building Museum, and the Public Affairs Council, and was a member of the Blueprint Virginia 2030 Steering Committee. Brian is a five-year Washingtonian Magazine Tech Titan, five-year The Hill Top Lobbyist, one of Virginia Business Magazine’s 50 MostInfluential People of 2022, and one of Washingtonian Magazine’s 500 Most Influential People of 2022. Brian has a J.D. and received his B.A. degree in Political Science.
