Brian Borrello is a visual artist and designer who wants to create awareness of human life in balance with other life forms and the shared environment. Public projects include a master plan for King County’s trail system; Silicon Forest, a grove of solar-powered, LED-illuminated metal tree forms at a Portland light-rail station; a lending library of bicycles in downtown Portland; and the Falls, stainless-steel light sculptures along the river in Oregon City. In response to handgun violence, Borrello organized Guns in the Hands of Artists. His work is represented by Jeffrey Thomas Fine Art in Portland and Jonathan Ferrara Gallery, New Orleans. He is principal of Neonjones, a neon-lighting facility.
