Bob Massie is a lifelong activist for social and environmental justice. Born with hemophilia, he grew up in New York State and France. He majored in history in college, received a masters degree in social ethics from Yale Divinity School, and a doctorate from Harvard Business School. He is also a minister in the Episcopal Church. He wrote a history of the South African divestment movement and ran CERES, a coalition of national environmental and investor groups. He was the 1994 Democratic nominee of Lieutenant Governor in Massachusetts and the founder of the Global Reporting Initiative. He is currently working on large-scale energy efficiency, corporate accountability, and global education.
